Part 2 - There were no trains in the hollow that early in the day and no one owned goats since there was no place to keep them. There were no people running down the tracks as the camp was directly below the mine nor was it possible to gather 200 people on the hillside near the mine entrance. Also, people did not take to strangers and only a few would even talk to them. Mostly dependents were quiet and reserved and not prone to hysterics.
