Part 3 of 4 - The nine men were found and brought out at about 8pm friday evening in one trip and taken directly to the Commissary Store Office where they were checked and then taken to Pineville Community Hospital where they were put in one room together and stayed there until released from the hospital. they were all alert the next morning but too Hoars to more than whisper and no one was allowed to see them except immediate family and hospital staff. It rained a lot, but heavy rains from Harlan and upriver areas caused the river to overflow in January and flood pineville,but only one or two of the miners were involved.
